I went to Rome with my mother as a gift on her 70 birthday. Including this tour around the food and beverage of Rome with Kristian. It was without doubt the most fullfilling experience. Kristian was the most perfect company for this tour. His knowledge and passion for Rome and the food was very inspiring. His pleasant behaviour made you feel welcome and expectant from first minute. When moving around tasting etc he took special consideration for my mother, as she doesn’t eat any kind of cheese. Hi made sure we tasted pizza without cheese and he ensured that a special portion of the pasta was made without cheese as well. A very competent guide and a unusually pleasant personality. I can’t recommend this enough. Hope to see you again when returning to Rome.

This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Italy! Kristian was informative, fun, entertaining and down-to-earth when explaining the wine. He did a great job of taking us to places that were hidden gems. I went with my parents and brother and we all agreed it was a blast! I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Rome

We went there in july and it was the second time we booked Kristian. Like the first time we were really happy with the places he took us to. The food was really good and the wine aswell. We couldn’t have found those places by ourselves… Besides, Kristian is a really nice guy to have around and he really listened to our wishes!

Me and my girlfriend went to Rome for the first time last autumn (thursday to sunday). Since we were all new to the city we asked the woman behind the desk at our hotel about some advice on restaurants. She told us about Wine & Food and gave us a phone number. We called the number and on friday we had a tour with Mr. Kristian. That was probably the best thing that could ever have happen to us! Rome is a huge city, it seemed a little chaotic at first sight and we didn’t know where to start. But Kristian made us feel just like home! We wandered the streets talking about life, culture, food, music, wine and history. We visited a local market where we bought some fruits and ice cream and went to a very nice pizzeria for lunch (simple at first sight, but fabulous taste!). My best memory from the tour was that little Wine Bar where we ended up after a couple of hours (in Trastevere). I don’t like cheese very much but that was actually fantastic!! A perfect day well worth the money!

As a birthday surprise to my husband I booked two tours with Kristian. Well I could tell you how special our Fridaynight was doing the Wine Adventure tour and how great the wines tasted. Or what a wonderfull experience it was to do the Food and Market walk, meeting the people, tasting the food and visiting all those special places…but really I don’t know where to start. If you are in to food, wine, people and great little places, you really should try yourself!

We took home with us not only beautiful memories, inspiration to cook, the need of having our own stock of Lazio wines, but also the feeling that we discovered the taste of Rome guided by a friend.

Booked the Food & Market tour fairly last minute for a Sunday morning. There were 6 of us & I think that not everyone was convinced that this was a good activity for 10.30 on a Sunday morning. However they were soon won over as we all thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Kristian. A mixture of areas, food, wine, & history. Excellent value with plenty to eat and some cooking tips for when we got home! This was a definite highlight of our week trip to Italy and I would recommend it to anyone. To top it off we met a lovely young couple from NY on honeymoon who joined our group & we met up with them again later for more eating & drinking….

We did the Rome Luxury Wine & Dinner Experience in a Private Cellar by the Pantheon.
This is a small group tour in a stunning location. We were taken to a historical family run restaurant in the heart of Rome. Not only was the restaurant beautiful, the food was even more so. The wines were the of the very highest quality, and the food was the best we have had in Rome. First we visited the cellar for an Aperitif, then upstairs to the lovely elegant surroundings of this famous establishment. We were greeted by the owners who made us feel so welcome.
The food that was presented to us was amazing. Made with love and from the finest ingredients.
Each course was accompanied by a superior wine. Our host Francesca from Gourmetaly was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed listening to her about the wine and food and other interesting facts about life in Rome. A wonderful evening indeed. Highly recommended.

If you are coming to Rome a couple of days I recommend you to do this tour. Is not planned for more than 8 persons and you will discover a different way to eat in Rome outside the touristic circuit.

My wife, three children (ages 17, 20, 22) and I spent three hours with Kristian this morning into lunch time. He was the perfect guide; fluent in Italian of course but also English. We had a group of seven and they take no more than eight, so it is very manageable and easy to hear what is being said.
We started with coffee and learned how real Romans did it and why. We visited an open air market, salumeria, bakery, cheese shop, osteria, cookie bakery and finally finished with the freshest Gelato we’ve ever had. Along the way Kristian explained Italian history, discussed wine pairings and thoroughly educated the group about what we were sampling and how & why it was prepared in that fashion.

Well worth the price and time. We never would have found the historical neighborhoods we walked through on our own. No sense stumbling around the city looking for good places to eat; Kristian was a terrific host our whole family raved about.

This past weekend I was in Rome alone, and I knew I wanted to eat (I mean who doesn’t) and I knew I wanted to walk around Rome and hey presto I came across Wine & Food of Rome and I’m am over the moon that I did!

With a 10:30am start, I met up with Evan and a group outside a beautiful church and we started our mamouth journey into the heart of what is truly is Rome… and for me Rome is art, architecture, wine and food!

Evan is so knowledgable about everything Rome, he’s personable and funny and knows his stuff!

We were taken through districts I probably would not have entered on my own (simply because I wouldn’t have known it was the place to be) and we were fed the most delicious coffee (espresso correcto – espresso with a little something extra… you must try it!) fruit, meats, cheeses, pastas, pastries and gelato… we strolled through the Campo di Fiori market & the tiny streets of Trastevere, eating and drinking until our bellys were more than satisfied!

If you’re a foodie like me and want to explore different districts of Rome, then this is one tour you should book yourself onto! I know for one if iwas to go back to Rome, I’d be doing the evening tour next time!

Thank you for an awesome adventure – p.s. I took a nap after the tour 😉

Went on a “morning food and marked walk” with Evan as our guide. Perfect way to explore some of the hidden gems in Rome.. Visiting small espresso bar, bakeries, charcuterie, restaurant etc. and also got to know some of the old history of Rome. We enjoyed every bit of the tour. Thank You!
